With reports of migrants once again spending the night at Logan Airport, the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance issued the following statement calling on Governor Maura Healey to make necessary changes to stop Massachusetts from continuing to be a global magnet for illegal and inadmissible migrants.

The Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance joined Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies (the Center) to release a new study examining the economic cost to Massachusetts taxpayers for the state’s migrant and illegal immigration crisis.

Following the release of the Massachusetts House of Representatives proposal to make “reforms” to the emergency shelter program that is drawing so many migrants up from the open southern border to Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance noted that their plan is likely to be ineffective in solving the migrant crisis currently facing the Commonwealth.
