New Annual Rankings Show MA is worst State in the Country

After months of committee hearings and widespread anticipation, the House has finally produced a bill outlining how they want to spend the federal ARPA funds and the massive surplus of tax dollars collected in 2020. 

The fiscal year ended at the end of June and the final numbers are in. The result: Beacon Hill lawmakers are rolling around in piles of cash like Scrooge McDuck.

The Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance made the following statement following Governor Charlie Baker’s announcement on Wednesday of his latest plan to offer consumers and state businesses a temporary sales tax holiday for the months of August and September.
