The Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance made the following statement regarding the Baker-Polito Administration’s extension of the order closing COVID-19 nonessential businesses and the creation of an Advisory Board that will produce a plan on reopening the economy by May 18.
“Massachusetts workers and business owners are no stranger to government regulations. They have been extremely accommodating of the government demands. State leaders must realize that all business is essential business to the owners and the workers who rely on them for their livelihood, and the customers and their families that depend on them. These businesses want to prove to State House leaders that they can operate safely and responsibly and it's time to give them a chance to do that,” stated Paul D. Craney, spokesperson for Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance.
