Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance is hosting a free policy round-table and discussion with Brian Shortsleeve, the first Chief Administrator of the MBTA. After legislative reforms were passed in the Spring of 2015, Shortsleeve was appointed to the new position in July of 2015.

Brian is a Massachusetts native and Harvard Business School Graduate who has more than twenty years of leadership experience in the public and private sectors helping complex organizations through periods of both rapid growth and turnaround. He is also a former Marine officer who served in the Bosnia-Herzegovina and in the Persian Gulf. He spent the early part of his career at Bain & Company and most recently was a Managing Director at General Catalyst Partners. Brian brings to the task of leading the fiscal and managerial side of the MBTA extensive experience developing and executing strategies to improve performance and drive organizational change.
