Majority of AG’s sign SCOTUS Amicus in Support of Virginia’s Ability to Remove Non-Citizens from Voting Roll
Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance slammed Attorney General Andrea Campbell for failing to join the majority of her fellow state Attorneys General in support of Virginia’s effort to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls before the November election. The case is before the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS), as the Biden-Harris Administration actively works to block Virginia’s attempt to clean its voter roll of non-citizens. The amicus filed yesterday was signed by a majority of state Attorneys General, including New England’s own John Formella, the state Attorney General of New Hampshire. “There is nothing more important in the democratic process than a fair and secure election in which voters feel their votes are counted. There is absolutely no justification for Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell not to sign onto this effort and join the majority of state Attorneys General. Once again, Massachusetts residents need to look to New Hampshire for how a state should properly conduct themselves. The New Hampshire Attorney General was right to sign onto the amicus. It’s nakedly partisan and extremely disappointing that Massachusetts’s own Attorney General didn’t sign onto it,” stated Paul Diego Craney, the spokesperson for Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance.
“The Biden-Harris Administration may have a friend in Andrea Campbell but it comes at the expense of Massachusetts voters. We elect an Attorney General to stand up for us, the residents of Massachusetts, and not the political partisan interests in D.C.,” continued Craney.
“Non-citizens should not vote in elections and they should not be registered voters. There are some who believe they should. Andrea Campbell should break her silence on this matter and protect the integrity of our voter rolls by signing onto the amicus,” concluded Craney.
